Hi, A very huge and spacious beautiful ground floor reception, coffee shop and public areas. It ends there!! I had just left the pleasurable stay at the four star Royal Crown in Siem Reap and was hoping this would be somewhere near with this place, How wrong was I!!!!!
I found the ground floor reception staff a little surly. I found the greeting less than cordial after all the smiles in Cambodia. Moving to the room. The carpets were badly stained, the room was large but all the wooden tables and desks need stripping down and re-varnishing.
The bathroom old and very dated with dirt grouting. The faucets were dirty. The securing ring on the bath plug was loose and water drained out at bath time. The toilet took three or four flushes every time. The wi fi was all over the place. The mini bar as well as lobby prices were expensive and above the norm. Beds were OK and there was a flat screen and safe in the wardrobe that were OK. The air con is the old style than runs throughout the hotel as opposed to individual units and is noisy.
The pool was ' cloudy looking ' and uninviting as was the pool areas. An overall lack of care and a grubby feel to the whole place except the lobby. Location is excellent for the city centre and local eateries. Would I stay again??? I politely declined She looked two star as well. Nothing wrong with this hotel unless you look for peace and quite and a bit of nature We found this Hotel through the excellent Web Asia website.
It surprised us how nice the hotel was on arrival with a lovely lobby and large well appointed rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful on check in but dropped during the stay. Our guide for the next four days called to see us but we were not told and the information left was not passed on.
